Great resource

While my son breezed over it, apparently disinterested, I think my daughter will dive into it. It's such a pivotal time to be proactive about a growth mindset.

Big life journal

Excellent. Love the positivity and encouragement it gives to teenagers. Brings creative thinking that public schools don’t offer to kids.

For the more mature future focused kids

My daughter (12) and her friend (13) tried this book with me with not as much success as we had with the original Big Life Journal. Some kids at their age are certainly ready for this level of content but these two were mostly confused and even anxious abut some parts of it. They simply “aren’t there yet” and using the book caused them distress. Generally I think it would be great for those who are ready for it. In our case we may not coming back to it until they are 16-17. I would caution it for use with tweens and immature teens as it might feel like too much pressure about growing up.

My 11 year old son honestly loves this!

First journal my son has ever had and he looks forward to reading and filling out the prompts every day. He’s about half way through.

Lovely journal for pre-teens or early teens

Awesome! My 11 year old really enjoyed using it. I think it gave him new things to think about; getting out of himself; seeing that not only mom thinks certain things; looking at things a new way. He hasn't finished it, but I just got it back out for him to review and continue on.
