It would always seem like I just had too much going on. I kept trying and implemented questions off and on with my preteen. I have loved this since we started. I did have to rush through. We set the same time once a week and went through the journal weekly and wow it spurred some really good discussions and a deeper understanding. It seemed to help her knowing I went through a lot of the same things, but was very careful not to answer things for her but just prompting and taking time. Time is key. She loves this journal and is now doing the teen version in her own and discusses topics with more ease. Raising a healthy, independent adult is the goal.
My 8 year old son has found so much help With this journal. After dealing with blows to his self esteem due to a bad school situation, this journal has helped his self esteem as well as his outlook.
My grand daughters love their journals!! Which made me so happy! We read the first pages together and they were super excited to get started!
I bought the Big Life Journal for my granddaughter, grade 2, and grandson, grade 3. My daughter reports that the kids love their journals, kept them with them all the time, especially in the beginning. They are writing and drawing in them without her reminding them to. A big win!
I just wanted to say thank you so much for this journal. My child Faith is only 5yr old and she loves it. I write in a journal and she loves having one as well. She writes in it every night and it's so nice to see what she thought about the day and her feelings about the day. Thank you so much. Xx
