Fun for both of us
My 8-year-old son was hesitant at first because he's still not completely comfortable writing. But the first night he had so much fun that he started asking if we could work on the journal instead of reading together many nights. He has extra fun writing with whatever colored pencil he likes (which he can't do for homework), we have great discussions, and we both always end our couple of pages feeling good about ourselves. What a great tool both for helping us individually and for giving us an awesome way to spend special time together!
So much thought has gone in to the planning of this journal. It is a much loved resource in our house. The weekly printables are an added bonus.
The Big Life Journal is Magnificent!
My 7 year old daughter is in love with The Big Life Journal. It’s become her go to anytime she has free time, and I’ve been amazed at her motivation and eagerness towards it. On one page, she wants to be a librarian, the next page a meteorologist, and the next page she’s designing her own ballet store where girls can buy pointe shoes in various colors and designs. This journal has ignited her imagination and creativity in a way that I’ve never seen before. As a student who struggles in school and takes an entire year to reach grade level, this journal is teaching her that she is in charge of her learning, of her future and of her own brain. She’s learning that even though there are things she hasn’t mastered YET, there are endless opportunities that she can create for herself simply by allowing her imagination and creativity to be her guide and by embracing her mistakes. Every kid needs this journal!
I love Big Life Journal! It is cleverly designed and kids really love working in it. Lots of Positivity and Growth happening over here :)
Great for any child
The way the Big Life Journal is laid out gives a great chance to complete the journal in manageable chunks for my child, as well as to hit the same recurring themes, so the lessons really have a chance to sink in and change thinking. Love it!
