Big Life Journal - 2nd Edition
As a peaceful parent coach & educator and as the parent of a 7 year old - I LOVE The Big Life Journal. The second journal actually goes along with the Amazing Big Life Podcast - How cool is that? The development and nurturance of a growth mindset is so important for children and for the future of our planet. A yearly journal not only facilitates both, it also provides a touchstone to bring our attention back - as it creates another opportunity to strengthen our connection with our child. So Many Wins. Thank you to Alexandra and the Big Life family for opening up curiosity and a world of possibilities.
We love it!
We're only a few pages in and my son (7-1/2) is very engaged and can't wait to get to the next page. The prompts are creative and enjoyable and I think he's getting a lot out of it so far!
Love, love, love!
Excellent journal! Provides my daughters and me with the opportunity to spend quality time snuggling together while reading through and talking about each section. I find the thoughtfulness in the journal content bring a contemplative and peaceful energy to our reading times as they think about the questions and ponder their own strengths and positive attributes. I love how it primes all of our minds to focus on strengths, goodness, and positives. Thank you~! ...I love your journal donation goals, and the positivity you are giving to the world. Keep up the momentum! You are encouraging many!
Amazing teen journal!
I just want to say that I got this for my daughter for Christmas, who will be 13 in January. She just came downstairs into the basement where I’m doing laundry and said “ hey I started that journal, the one that you got me” I asked, “ well what do you think of it?” She says “ it’s pretty cool! “ I said, “ I thought it was pretty cool too, do you think I’d get you something uncool  “ we both laughed. I’m looking forward to and am hopeful for a mindset change as far as responsibility and accountability go. I also hope she knows that all people her age go through this big life change. Thank you.
I’m sure you get a lot of similar messages but I just want to express my gratitude for your amazing journals. I have 2 stepsons who have had quite a lot of troubles with self-love and self-awareness. Santa brought our 3 older kids (11,9,7) the Big life journal this year - although we have only worked through the first activity it has taught me as a parent so much! I knew our 9 year old was struggling but to watch him not be able to answer questions like ‘what do I love about myself or what do I want to learn’ and realising his self-worth was non-existent. I’m hoping these journals will be a fabulous resource for us getting him the help he needs before these feelings and emotions become too big for him. Our 7 year old girl is possibly the kindest person I know but yet she didn’t tick the ‘I’m kind’ superpower. It is teaching me as a parent exactly where their headspace is at and what we need to be working on in order to help them strengthen their weaknesses. Thank you so much. I think us parents are going to benefit more from these than what our children will.
