For best results with printing our digital files, we recommend using a desktop device such as a PC or a Mac. We do not recommend printing from a mobile device such as your phone or tablet. Download the file to your device and open it using Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is a free software that works with virtually any device. You can download it here: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Download.
Print the file directly from Adobe Acrobat Reader. If the link you receive to the printable is opening in your internet browser, you will need to first save the file as a PDF and download it to your device instead of printing from the browser. You would select File then Save to PDF.
To ensure that your digital PDF kit or free Friday Printable prints as expected, we recommend printing a single page in the first instance as a test.
If you encounter any issues (e.g. page prints entirely in black) try some of the tips below.
Following these instructions will resolve the majority of printing issues.
In Adobe Acrobat Reader DC go to File → Print.
In the Print dialog box, select Advanced.
In the Advanced Print Setup dialog box, select Print as Image.
Click OK and then proceed with printing as usual.
Mac automatically opens the program “Preview” when a PDF file is downloaded. Opening the Big Life Journal PDF using "Preview" may distort how the font and background will look, and can change how the file ultimately prints. Instead of using “Preview”, we recommend using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file and printing directly from there.
Sometimes this happens when the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC software is not up to date. We recommend using the latest version to open and print the file. You can check for updates by going to Help → Check for Updates.
If your file still does not print after trying the steps outlined above, the issue may be with your printer. Go to the manufacturer's website and download any driver updates if necessary.
