Answers to Common Questions About Big Life Journal

We asked families what their children were struggling with.

Every parent knows the moment. The slammed door after a hard day at school. The "I can't do it" before the homework even starts. The big feelings that arrive faster than the words to explain them.

So before we created a solution, we asked the question that matters most: what are children actually struggling with right now? We surveyed 658 parents, educators, and caregivers. The results were clear:

80%

needed help with worry, anxiety, and emotional regulation

62%

wanted to develop a growth mindset and perseverance

58%

were looking for ways to build resilience

55%

wanted support with confidence, focus, and attention

While these challenges may look different on the surface, they often point to the same underlying need: helping children develop the life skills to thrive.

That's exactly what the Big Life Journal was designed to support.

Since using these resources, I've noticed a meaningful improvement in both confidence and

emotional resilience. Tasks that once felt overwhelming now seem much more manageable. I've seen more patience, better focus, and a greater willingness to try new things without giving up.

A woman with long brown hair takes a selfie in a mirror inside a bedroom.

My autistic child went from being withdrawn and isolated to dreaming of becoming a teacher. She wants to help other children with autism come out of their shells and know that they are seen, supported, and capable. A teacher who believed in her changed her life. The Big Life Journal books and guides we used together helped reinforce those lessons, building her confidence and showing her that she, too, could make a difference in the lives of others.

Big Life Journal tools have helped our family learn to talk about everything! Recently my 14-year-old son with ADHD asked what a strong, weird feeling in his belly was. I smiled realizing that he had embodied self-confidence for the first time in his life. All our micro learning throughout the years led to this powerful moment.
